DPI is on their way to the Optical Fiber Communication Conference® and Exposition in California on March 22 – 26. CEO, Robert Efroymson will be in attendance with CTO, Majeed Hayat and VP of Technology, Payman Zarkesh-Ha. The team has recently finished testing of their Dynamic-Bias Enhanced Avalanche Photodiodes (DBE-APD). The revolutionary technology enables APDs to meet the high bit-rate demands of the changing telecommunications industry to be suitable for digital 40-Gbps per channel fiber optic communication links. DPI’s technology can ultimately lead to the
replacement of bulky, expensive EDFA-PIN modules (presently used in 40 Gbps longhaul
and metro optical networks) as it can be created for a fraction of the price.
If you see them at the conference, stop by and say hi!
